As is a fact with all of our couples, these two are awesome. They also are a globetrotting pair having shot their engagement session in Riverside, California and then having their wedding in Chicago- where they live. This day really was a great time. First of all, it was pouring rain. Typically when it rains on a wedding day the couple gets bummed and everyone is trying to tell them not to worry, etc. However, when it rains on a wedding day and we are there? I tell the couple that their photos will be that much better. Seriously, do not fear rain on a wedding day! (The photos toward the end of the post show why I say this.) After getting ready, we all headed down by the Adler Planetarium downtown to take some photos by the lake before heading to the ceremony and reception site at the Bridgeport Art Center. The rain continued on and off while we wandered around the entire space before the ceremony began. Throughout the photos, take note of the metal center pieces and the one hanging off of the ceiling. Also, the card box, and Val’s unique belt; all were made by the bride and groom. It really made things stand out and one-of-a-kind. After the ceremony, food was served, kids played Cornhole, and a Pasty Truck was brought up for a late night snack. A big congrats to V&C!
