From the moment Whitney emailed me, I could not wait to shoot her wedding. She was such a sweet person and I liked her immediately! At first when she said that her wedding was mid-July, Mike and I were a little concerned, because it averages about 112 in July…and then knowing that her wedding and reception were outside on the roof of the Platinum, we were gearing up for a hot, hot wedding. Then the wedding day hit and it was a relaxing 98 or so. AWESOME!
We first met up with Whitney where she was getting hair and make-up done by Francesca. We grabbed some getting ready shots along with her freaking sweet shoes that she had custom made with their names and “Vegas Baby” written on other one. She was very calm and collected; her dad was another story. She was having a good laugh about his anxiousness though. Following her getting ready we headed to the Platinum where the ceremony and reception would be taking place. Everything was set up beautifully and it was a very moving ceremony. After the ceremony, and some great tunes by the talented DJ Godzilla, we grabbed some fun shots with the moustaches and lips that Whitney and Chris had as props for their guests. Following a delicious dinner, a few toasts were said and then the dancing commenced! There were good laughs and some happy tears with a lot of beers. (I couldn’t help it, I had to do the rhyme.) Then an awesome cupcake smash before more dancing until the end of the night. The next day we met up with Whitney and Chris for their day after session at the Neon Boneyard, which is always a good time! Congratulations Whitney and Chris. It was an absolute pleasure spending your wedding day with you!
